High above the skies of planet Dopheus, players take on the role of a Doppler, a salamander-like creature with one mind and two bodies, tasked with an urgent mission. The planet faces an impending invasion from the sinister sentinels, and only by uncovering the lost crystals and reactivating the monolith defense can the attack be thwarted. This perilous quest demands strategy, adaptability, and resourcefulness. Victory is achieved by gathering the four legendary crystals, activating a monolith, and ascending to the prestigious position of Emperor of Dopheus. The game unfolds over several rounds, with players maneuvering their Dopplers between the Council—where political actions shape the battlefield—and the open skies, where unique character abilities come into play. With two bodies, Dopplers can execute multiple strategies simultaneously, making every decision crucial. Tiles are activated using initiative tokens, allowing movement, exploration, resource production, construction, and intense battles with rivals. Each of the four crystals carries its own challenges and methods of acquisition. The blue crystal requires 12 buildings placed across the map, though fortune may favor those who drill on the Tropic Islands using a Leviathan airship or construct the awe-inspiring Ancient Sky Tower. The yellow crystal is more elusive, starting in the heart of the map, where the first player to claim the central territory secures it. Alternatively, it can be salvaged through exploration, earned via action cards, or unearthed by drilling on the Volcano Islands. The red crystal is synonymous with battle, awarded to those who emerge victorious in combat against players or NPCs piloting Behemoths or higher-class airships. It can also be secured by destroying an opponent’s home base or Sky Tower, or by drilling on the Rock Islands with a Leviathan airship. The green crystal is the most personal, unique to each character, and obtainable only by fulfilling individual goals—whether commanding five airships or purging ten exploration tokens. With over 40 different airships to pilot, the adventure promises depth and excitement at every turn.
