Heroes of the Sanctum: The Strategy Card Game

Overview

Sacred tomes speak of a rift between our realm and the darkness, a time when ancient manifestations of evil will drive humanity to the brink of extinction. It is foretold that the last of the Sanctum’s champions will stand between these horrors and the final descent into oblivion. That time has now come. Heroes of the Sanctum: The Strategy Card Game is a deterministic, quest-driven solo or co-op adventure set in a grim, post-apocalyptic fantasy world. Players take on perilous quests, forming a party of four heroes from a pool of twelve unique characters, to confront the creatures of the Rift and fulfill their objectives. As they traverse dangerous lands, players interact with their surroundings, overcome threats, acquire loot, manage equipment, and strengthen their heroes while safeguarding their Sanctum Banners. Each turn, players draw a Stratagem card, which provides Action Points, a temporary effect, and a variety of available actions. These actions are carried out using distinctive double-sided Hero Tokens. As they navigate impending dangers, players must meet the specific conditions outlined on the chosen Quest card while contending with reactive threats and the ever-changing environment. Only by successfully completing these tasks can they achieve victory and protect the Sanctum from destruction.
