Overview

One fateful night, a superstitious teen named Bert Hudson wandered too far into Brightview’s eerie past. In the depths of the forest, Bert unknowingly stumbled upon strange markings, breaking the ancient seal of an Elder Tree—and with it, awakening the Whisperer, a demon bound by forgotten magic. The Brightview Haunting is an intense one-versus-many cooperative horror game. Players can choose to take on the roles of Exorcists, working together to save Bert and banish the Whisperer, or step into the twisted shoes of the Whisperer, hunting down the Exorcists to spread corruption and claim possession of their souls. Engage in asymmetric gameplay as each Exorcist uses unique passive abilities to support their team, while the Whisperer grows stronger with each passing moment, unlocking devastating new powers. As an Exorcist, trigger unpredictable Events by invoking ritual items or using corrupted artifacts. Manage your corruption, decide when to use special items, and move strategically around the map to outsmart the Whisperer. As the Whisperer, your goal is to possess Exorcists and turn them against their allies, shifting the game into a team-based struggle. Possessed Exorcists can be saved through various means, restoring them to their original team, but every moment counts as the Whisperer's influence spreads.
