Overview
Dive into a thrilling and unique horror racing game set in the heart of Dante's Inferno, a game that will keep you on the edge of your seat. Forsaken immerses players in a world filled with 20 intricately crafted miniatures representing historically infamous characters, a 3D board that is yours to manipulate, and haunting baroque artwork that heightens the eerie atmosphere. This semi-cooperative game challenges you to confront the terrifying and twisted landscape of hell while questioning the lengths you're willing to go to in order to escape. In Forsaken, your goal is to flee from the depths of hell with the highest amount of FAITH, which are victory points earned through benevolent acts such as assisting the player in last place. However, players are also faced with the temptation to commit sins in order to accelerate their escape, earning SIN (negative victory points) in the process. Those who choose this darker path will encounter special milestones, risking their morality for a quicker route to freedom, yet each choice will come with consequences. The game begins with each player receiving a diary, which serves as the key to planning their journey through hell. Within this diary, players will create a tableau of cards that define their actions for the day. As the game progresses, players will add cards to their agenda, setting up actions for the upcoming turns. When the day ends, you will turn the page of your diary, revealing new opportunities and challenges, and the cycle continues, ensuring that no two days are alike. Key actions in the game include movement, where players can choose to move clockwise or counterclockwise on the board, triggering events, traps, or milestones. Drawing cards allows you to stack them on the right page of your diary, preparing for future turns. Lastly, helping the player in last place grants you FAITH points, a critical element for those looking to escape with a clean conscience.
