Overview

Champions of Rokugan is a cooperative board game set in the rich and vibrant world of *Legend of the Five Rings*, where 1 to 5 players take on the roles of brave heroes from the major Clans of the Emerald Empire—or even as a Ronin. The game is built around the five sacred Rings, which represent the core elements of this universe: Fire, Air, Void, Water, and Earth. These Rings serve as both a foundation for your character's abilities and a way to unlock special powers that can turn the tide of battle. Each player steps into the shoes of a distinguished figure, whether a Samurai, Master of the Elements, Courtier, or Ninja, and faces a world fraught with peril. The Empire is at a critical juncture, teetering on the edge of chaos, with threats both external and internal. Dark forces from the Outworld seek to corrupt the land, while betrayal and treachery stir from within the Empire itself. As you and your fellow Champions strive for the Emperor’s favor, you must balance personal honor with the well-being of your Clan, all while navigating the dangerous complexities of an Empire on the brink. The path to glory is treacherous, filled with difficult choices that could determine the Empire’s fate. Each decision you make could lead to honor or disgrace, and while saving the Empire might seem like the ultimate victory, the pursuit of personal ambition can sometimes come at a cost. Honor is a fragile thing in Rokugan, and as you face the challenges ahead, remember that in a world where every choice matters, one man’s victory can be another’s fall from grace.
