Overview

As the industrial revolution neared its peak, mining intensified, and one operation dug deeper than any before, uncovering a powerful new element: The Great Shard. This discovery accelerated the revolution, but also unleashed strange phenomena and mutated creatures. The Keeper, a mad industrialist, harnessed its power and became obsessed with biogenetic modifications, creating the Mutagen—those who altered their bodies in pursuit of greater power. Years later, the Keeper, nearing the end of his life, seeks a successor. As one of four Mutagen, you must prove your worth. Mutagen is a customizable worker-placement game set in a biopunk 1920s universe, where each player controls four workers with unique abilities. By placing workers in bio-enhanced locations, you activate actions and gain upgrades to improve your airship, collect resources, and earn points. Your goal is to harness the Shard’s power and accumulate the most points by the end of the game to become the Keeper's successor.
