Overview
A century after the events of Hybris, Disordered Cosmos plunges Ancient Greece into chaos once more. The Achaeans, led by Zeus, launch an assault on the last stronghold of the Eye of Nyx artifact: the fortified city of Troy. However, other Olympians stand in their way, determined to halt Zeus’s madness and protect Troy from falling. Observing this legendary conflict are the Mystics, who remain neutral, simply watching the unfolding events with indifference. Hybris: Twilight in Olympus is an epic area control game for 2 to 6 players, set to launch on crowdfunding platforms in 2024. The game unfolds over 10 rounds, mirroring the ten-year siege of Troy. Each turn, players secretly program their actions according to their respective systems: the Achaeans use a card system, the Trojans employ worker placement, and the Mystics anticipate the actions of the other two factions. During the action phase, the Achaean player reveals their first card and uses a time value to execute their action, while other players leverage this time to perform their own moves. The Achaeans win by breaching Troy’s walls, stealing the Eye of Nyx, or causing the city to collapse economically before the ten rounds end. The Trojans claim victory by surviving the full duration, while the Mystics succeed by fulfilling their secret objectives before either faction triumphs.
