Overview

The Republic of Rome Remastered is a game of negotiation, power, and betrayal that spans Rome’s history from the First Punic War to Caesar’s assassination. Each player leads a faction of influential senators competing for government roles, military control, and alliances to become the dominant political force. However, players must balance self-interest with Rome’s stability: if Rome succumbs to war, revolt, or bankruptcy, everyone loses. Victory usually requires the faction with the most influence, but a single senator may seize ultimate power by becoming Dictator for life—or even rebel against the Senate. This new edition refines the classic game with streamlined rules, improved artwork, miniatures, redesigned components, expanded event and fate decks, and optional rules to reduce luck. A new solo mode and enhanced bots for 2-3 players make this a fresh experience for all.
