Skytear (2020)

Overview

Skytear is a competitive, card-driven miniatures game inspired by MOBA video games like League of Legends. It features 32 heroes from an original fantasy universe. Players use a draft system to select heroes from four factions, allowing flexible responses to opponents’ choices. Heroes then compete to control lanes, lead minions to attack enemy towers, or enter the dome to control the outsider. Victory is achieved by fulfilling one of three conditions chosen at the game’s start, enabling strategic bluffing and feints. Skytear is diceless, relying on power card modifiers. This duality adds depth to deck building, as beneficial cards often come with negative modifiers. Drafting heroes also provides their associated cards, enhancing strategic flexibility. With two maps, 28 heroes, and over 65 power cards at launch, Skytear offers a highly replayable tactical experience.
